V6 Agronomy Inc. is an independent Canadian fertilizer supplier and ag consulting company. After analysis of soil samples to determine which mix of nutrients would be best for specific areas, the company had the mix formulated in Europe and shipped to Ontario for resale. The product has demonstrated superior results with clients seeing an increase in crop yield.
PROJECT SUMMARY
To achieve growth, investments in productivity, infrastructure, current supply chain, and diversification, were required. This included increasing dry storage capacity by 25% with a concrete pad; increasing wholesale supply; site prep; constructing an entry road on property capable of accommodating the increased traffic of large trucks to improve access to storage tanks/warehouse/scale; purchasing/installing new load cells, electronics and access ramps to meet Canada Weights and Measures specifications on a previously purchased 10 x 80 foot truck scale; and purchasing/installing a belt conveyor to efficiently and safely move fertilizer within the facility and to handle increased volume through the Port of Johnstown.
