Board Directors
The CFEO Board of Directors meets quarterly with additional meetings and committee work as required. The Board is comprised of 7-12 dynamic and engaged Directors who work as a team to steer the strategy and direction of the organization. Our Board includes:
- One-third (1/3) Directors who currently hold a seat on the Board of Directors of a member Community Futures office
- One-third (1/3) Directors who are Executive Directors/General Managers of a member Community Futures office, and,
- One-third (1/3) Directors who are independent

Finance, Investment and Audit Committee Member
The CFEO Finance, Investment & Audit Committee meets quarterly with additional meetings as required. The Committee is comprised of three (3) to five (5) members, including two (2) who can be Directors currently holding a seat on the Board of Directors of a member Community Futures office, or Executive Directors/General Managers of a member Community Futures office, or independents. This team of experts lead financial innovation that helps safeguard and plan the roadmap for the organization in achieving its mission to support economic development initiatives in Eastern Ontario.
The CFEO Finance, Investment & Audit Committee has immediate vacancies for Directors who currently hold a seat on the Board of Directors of a member Community Futures office, or independents.
Are you someone with financial acumen and an interest in defining the larger picture? Do you have working knowledge on government funded programs, lending processes, and nonprofit financial management? Board and Committee Recruitment Process
We want to make sure you are well informed. We encourage interested applicants to send an email to info@cfeasternontario.ca to receive more information and a CFEO Board & Committee Application form. The Governance & Recruitment Committee uses a skills matrix to determine the skillsets required to fill vacancies and complement the existing board and committee members. Unless there are immediate vacancies to be filled requiring a special nomination to the Board, recommended candidates are nominated annually in June for approval at our AGM in July.
