About Jim Beechey

Jim Beechey has been a resident of Georgina for many years and operated a marketing consultancy prior to his retirement, before the establishment of his consultancy he served in senior management positions in the areas of marketing, business management and government affairs throughout North America in the private sector.  Locally he serves as a Director of the Georgina Chamber of Commerce where he currently is a member of the Finance Committee and Chairs the Tourism Committee, he is also member of the Town of Georgina's Economic Development Committee and is past chair of the Georgina Community Health Council.  Jim’s commitment to Tourism Development and Promotion sees him serving and a Director and Treasurer of Central Counties Tourism where he is currently Treasure. He has been a member of Southlake Community Futures for 10 years first serving as committee volunteer and has been a director for nine years, sitting on and chairing a variety of committees including several years as chair of the Investment Fund. Mr. Beechey is currently Past Chair of the board having served as board chair in 2020 & 21.
