Welcome New CFEO Board Members

Community Futures Eastern Ontario welcomes new Board Members, Devon Jones, Dan Ruby and Judith Pineault

 About Devon Jones

Following a 30+ year career as legal counsel, corporate secretary, and member of the executive management team in the commercial real estate sector, Devon joined The Prince Edward County Public Library Board about ten years ago and has been Chair since 2018. She served on the Board of Directors of the Prince Edward Lennox and Addington Community Futures Development Corporation until reaching her term limit in June 2024. During her tenure, she most recently chaired the Investment Review Committee and previously served as Chair of the Upper Canada Equity Fund, Vice-Chair, and Chair. Devon lives in Prince Edward County and is involved in numerous community endeavours.

About Dan Ruby

Dan Ruby

Dan Ruby re-joined OCI in 2023 as the Director of Sector and Regional Development for the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) at OCI.  In his current role, Dan works with the Sector Managers and the OVIN ecosystem (the RDTS sites and demonstration zone) to help develop and manage projects on behalf of the OVIN R&D funding streams and drive the future of automotive and mobility in Ontario.  

In 2016, Dan started at OCI (then OCE) as a Business Development Manager.  In 2019, Dan joined the OVIN team as a Sector Manager for Automotive and Mobility Innovation. 

Dan’s prior roles in Economic Development include Manager of Business Development and Investment for the Regional Municipality of Durham, Economic Development Manager for the City of Vaughan, and Managing Business Consultant for the York Small Business Enterprise Centre.

About Judith Pineault

Judith Pineault

Ten years C-Suite experience with a large multi-national firm, prepared Judith to launch Frontline Strategies Inc, a consulting firm, specializing in Financial Modelling, KPI development and Process Management. During this time, she co-foundered a custom manufacturing firm specializing in design/build of industrial process technologies. As CEO she led the firm’s business development and financial activities, establishing export markets in North America, South America, China, Japan, Morocco & Sweden. Focusing on new products and new sectors, Judith developed the firm’s expertise in Instrumentation, Test Equipment and Movable Bridges. After a successful business exit in 2019, Judith returned to consulting, mentoring start-up and scale-up enterprises in STEM. Finding a high demand for exit strategies Judith certified as an Exit Planner in 2023.
